Went to see Spiderman 2 today. Must rant about theaters now.

I've been to two kinds of theaters; the small ones with 1-3 screens, and the larger, middle-sized ones, with 5-10 screens. They both have their pros and cons:

Tiny Theaters:
Pros: Cheaper ticket and concession prices
usually interesting to look at
people tend to be friendly
Cons: less room for lines (or anything, for that matter)
more likely to be full
less staff means more waiting time
not too many movies to choose from
Middle-sized Theaters:
Pros: Less chances of being crowded
usually cleaner
More movie selection
Cons: Out-fucking-RAGEOUS prices

Yeah. You know what also pisses me off? People bringing their BABIES to a movie. Okay? You wanna see a movie? Get a fucking babysitter. I didn't pay upwards of $6 a person, plus snacks, to sit and listen to your damn kid crying its head off during this very interesting scene. And if you're going to bring the little snotball, take him OUTSIDE the theater if he's going to cry! If you bring a distraction into a theater, you take fucking care of it! GRAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay. I'm good. There were only 5 or so babies in SM2. It's all good. And I was rewarded with Toby McGuire (betcha I didn't spell his name right, huh?). Yummy. Plus, I've always loved Spiderman over all other superheroes. He was always the one I could relate to; he wasn't rich, wasn't too popular, always getting into trouble, didn't have a million super high tech gadgets. He relied on wits, speed, and that damn smart mouth of his. (I always love his jokes when he's facing death. Shows just how scared he really is, since humor is a resort to covering up fear.) Yup. Spidey = my hero. ^^
