Okay, so, I looked over the Apple website again this morning, before I called my mom. I only looked at the top of the page, and didn't scroll down to see if there was anything cheaper that fit the criteria -- I can get all this for maybe $2,200 - $2,400. Plus, Mom said that not only would she help me out if I ever asked, I had plenty of money for a computer, because Grandma gave me $5,600. I knew about this, but only $600 was meant for a computer. I figured Mom would want me to spend the rest on college expenses. She says this counts. So, yeah, I'm sorry if I worried any of you. I guess I have a tendency to do that, you know?

Oh, and I won't be online for the next couple days. I'm heading into Jackson and spending the night, because I need to do some cleaning and I have a couple appointments. So I'll be on Thursday, definitely, but probably not any time between now and then.

Apple stinks! (I just dislike iPods and how you can't use a lot of standard programs on an apple.)

I'm saving up for a nice Gateway. MMMMMmmmmm cows... Yeah, it's not going to happen for a while though. ;.; *emo weeps*

You don't need to spend that much.

All of my art friends, have iBooks that cost between $1,000 and $1,500 and all of them do exactly what they need to do. You don't need to go out and spend two grand o_O

And Mac OS X is a lot different than Windows, remember that.

Well, apparently Apples are better for Graphic Design (Adobe runs a lot better on them), and that IS going to be my major... so I'm stuck. *sobs* My biggest problem with Macs is that the iMac that my mom had for years was part of the first wave, and you know how when a new product comes out the first wave is always a little buggy? Yeah, that was our comp. *curses* How can you make a computer without a floppy drive?!

I KNOW THAT >_<

Why does it have to be Macs? I HATE Macs!

You do realize that by now, that PC's have caught up? And that Linux based computers have always ( and will always ) be better than both of them, right?

The Gimp = Best art program out there, and it's free.

Yet more proof that Linux > All

I don't have your connections. I already bought the damn thing anyway, and you know damn well that I am not computer-savvy.

I hear that all apples are kinda buggy. I had a friend who had one, and it crashed. A lot.

If you save up for a nice Gateway, it'll more than likely be a better investment than an Apple. Just don't go Dell. I had to use those for school and let me tell you, Adobe and Dell do NOT get along at all.

Thanks for the advice, but it's a little late -- my Powerbook just got here =X

Actually, it's working really well. The only thing that bugs me is I can't use Trillian and I have no idea why it won't let me download the thing that lets me use my iRiver, but other than that it's great.
