Prom was fun. I spent most of the day at the hair and nail salons getting ready. Umi, Dad's "barber", curled my hair and put it up in a fancy updo with white flowers. My nails very nearly matched my dress.
Darius picked me up at 6:30 and we had dinner at the Olive Garden (mmm, manicotti!). Then we got to prom at about 8:45 or so, got our picture taken + a keychain, and hung out with Heather, her bf Ricky, Krystal, and Juan, the hot Bolivian exchange student.
The music was mostly rap and hiphop, as per usual with all of our school dances (ugh...). I did dance (slowdance, of course, since it requires less physical effort and almost no embarrassment) with Ricky, Darius, and Kevin (DrooL!), in that order. I like Kevin. He's pretty cute, with a sort of dry sense of humor (the best kind). Though, with all the slow love songs, especially "Here Without You" by 3 Doors Down, I did get to thinking about Nick. This sounds so highschoolersih and teenagerish (hey, I like to be mature for my age, even if it's only in my head), but I kind of wish I could have brought in to the prom with me instead. Don't get me wrong, I had fun with Darius, but I did get jealous of all the couples out there.
