He said no. ;_;

Oh well, at least he was nice about it, and didn't scream and run for his life. That would have sucked. He pulled the "let's be friends" bit on me, and I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and believe that he really means it.

First day of work was Wednesday, which wasn't too bad. I learned all the prep work except breakfast burritos, and after my break they put me on french fries. That sucked. A lot. It's hard to remember to put down another thing of fries, keep them going, keep at least two large, three mediums, and one small up at all times, salt them, and keep an eye on the line outside to see how many more fries we're going to need. And if I have no gloves on, my hands get burnt by the hot greasy fries. Anyway, I had a six hour shift Wednesday (7:00 am to 1:00 pm), and I was supposed to have the same hours today, but around 8:45 I felt kind of sick, so Estey let me sit down, and half an hour later they let me go home early. I don't get it. I went to bed at midnight Tuesday and got up at six, and I didn't feel half as tired Wednesday as I do now. And last night I went to bed at ten! WTF? Estey says it might be stress from having a job and going to classes, and trying to get used to that. I'm working Wednesday, from 11:00 to 1:00. Might not get paid a lot, but that's fine with me. More time to sleep/study!

I think I already hate Precalc. We've spent the first two class periods going over the first chapter, which is basically review on Algebra and Geometry, and I swear I don't remember half this stuff. There was a quiz Wednesday, three questions, and I'm pretty sure the only one I got was the first. Well, at least there are tutors available. I think I'm going to need them...

My creative writing-type class is pretty cool. I guess right now we're focusing more on poetry than anything else. It's a pretty small class, too -- only sixteen people. One of them is this middle-aged guy who needs some English classes to get promoted in his business or something... and I swear, he acts like one of those people who were really sheltered as children, so when they talk they think they know what they're talking about and they really don't. It's embarrasing to hear him speak. I know more than he does, frankly! Although it was really quite funny on the first day, because he looks to be in his forties or fifties, and our instructor looks like he's in his twenties, and so almost everyone mistook the middle-aged guy for the teacher. (Not me, though. I was the first student in the room! So hah!)

Japanese isn't bad at all. I'm going to have a hell of a time remembering my Hiragana, but I have all weekend to study it. (We have a test on Tuesday. Eep!) Sami-sensei is pretty cool, though I think she has a little trouble with romaji. It's funny to hear her try and pronounce our names, though.

Sociology is my only lecture-hall class (I think. The Precalc instructor told us we were his lecture class, but it's not a lecture hall... confused?). The instructor is also really young (hell, all of them are!), with really short, bleached hair, and I really like her. She's energetic and fun to listen to so far. And she's, like, half-deaf, and has a really short attention span. =3

I have an appointment with the optometrist at 4:00. Since I'm out of work, I think I'll go early and surprise Mom at school... if I can sneak in, that is. I don't have my ID from last year with me, after all. But after that, I'm going to have dinner with Mom and Rob, and I'll probably spend the night, and then I'll have the dorm room all to myself until Monday afternoon, since Mary's going home for the weekend.
