I have a car now! I got to see Jan Saturday, as she was in for a few days, and after I told her what happened with my van, she told me she had a car (which she calls Dimples) that she could sell to me for $500. I looked at it the next day, bought it, and it needs a lot more work than I originally thought, but I think Mark can take care of most of that. She needs a new ball joint, new windshield wiper blades, a new right headlight, an oil change, and the brakes and muffler need to be looked at. And eventually I'm going to get a new stereo in there, so I can at least have a CD player and a time display that actually works. (It's not fun trying to find radio stations by counting.)
I've been working on two T-shirt quilts since Tuesday. I finally got them done today, with some help from Mom, and I'm getting $50 each for them. This makes me uber-happy, but next time I need to do a project like that I'm giving myself a LOT more time to do it. That was too much pressure for me, especially working on a project that big (though easy) on a finicky machine like mom's mammoth of a sewing machine. That thing is made entirely of metal -- not like the plastic ones you can buy at Walmart. It's huge, and while it works, it takes a little elbow grease to get it to cooperate sometimes.
And if I don't go online for whatever reason before or on Christmas (which might happen, since I'll be at Grandma's Sunday), Merry Christmas, everyone! Much love!
