I am back in Kalamazoo. Almost all of my things have been put in their proper place, even the laundry, it's almost actually clean in here, and Mary hasn't shown up all day, which means I get the room to myself tonight and probably most of tomorrow. I've bought all my textbooks, which came to almost $100 less than I'd originally estimated -- especially since I misunderstood the website and thought that I would, indeed, have to buy completely new books for my Japanese class instead of reusing the ones I had last semester. I am full of Chinese food, and have enough bottles of water and Arizona green tea to last at least a week or two, plus leftovers from tonight's takeout in the fridge. I am completely prepared for classes to start on Monday, and I am bored out of my skull and rather ansty to boot.
I've taken a break from writing a letter to Nadine. This time I will actually finish and send the letter, though I might have to rewrite it. I'll also need some stationary, I think. Or at least nicer paper than what's left of my Sociology notebook. I'm not sure what I can write to her about. I've written about my friends here at WMU, how much I like it at college, my Japanese classes, the situation with Brandon (which I have not been writing about, unfortunately -- I will write when I know exactly what is going on, guys!), and the obligatory "How are you? How's your family?" questions. I haven't seen this girl in two years, and I'm not sure what to write about. I am writing this in English, because my German is abominable from disuse and I'm going to have to start taking classes again, but I will be asking her to start writing to me in German so I can practice. Anga, take note, because this will probably result in me asking you what something means.
I've bought dishes, so now my roommate won't have to complain about me using hers. She didn't anyway, but now she has no reason to, and I don't have to do her dishes when I do mine. If she tries making me wash her dishes, I will be telling her exactly why I bought my own dishes (and such pretty ones, too!).
I've also started using the photo album I got for graduation from Mom's friend Pam. It's really very pretty; it's a dark green with Celtic/flowery designs in gold, and the pages are set up so that there are two photos to a page, and you can write next to the photographs. Half of the photos in there are of my pets, and the rest are old anyway.
amethyst_mind, remember when we first met at summer camp? I have some of the photos in there. I'll show them to you sometime. They're pretty goofy.

ahh, one problem with the name "Improper Use of Duct Tape"...I don't think there is such thing as an improper use of ducttape. Unless you were using to commit a heinous crime.

And I still need your dorm number, Will! Send it to me over Facebook, would you please?
