I have twenty days to write my research paper on Peter Abelard, rewrite my two short stories, make up all of my math homework and the missing Japanese workbook pages, re-study my Japanese, do all the homework that's given to me, study for my midterms, and attempt to pass my classes with a 3.0 GPA -- something that is becoming less and less likely. I am feeling restless and would like to hang out with friends tonight, but I have no idea who to ask or what we would do (though the RocketStar is a viable option, hint hint). And on top of that, I've just started my period, so I feel tired and achey, and my head is threatening to either explode or implode. It can't seem to decide which just yet.

It seems I freaked out over my prospectus/annotated bibliography for nothing, as I got an A on both parts, he said I had so many sources that I didn't need the three academic journals, and the only thing he recommended was that I narrow my topic down so I could fit it into 5-7 pages. Which means I stressed myself into the state of nearly bursting into tears for absolutely nothing. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm psyched that I got an A on something I pulled off at the last minute and totally deserve a C on, but all that negative energy's still pent up inside me, and I'm not sure how to get rid of it.

At least I'm interested in Peter Abelard, you know? Better than working on a paper on, say, microbes or something.

On the brighter side, Dad sent me a package last night. It had the last couple weeks' worth of the Sunday comics, a Sudoku book, Dorm Room Feng Shui, The Little Black Book of Sushi, a mini Bonsai kit, and a stuffed horse that's flat so you can drape it over a railing or something. (It's soft and fuzzy! Yay!)

I almost finished Neon Genesis Evangelion, though the last disk is kind of fucked up, and so I can't see the last fifteen minutes or so of the final episode. The series just got really weird after the first twenty episodes, anyway, so I'm completely confused now. I don't know if I should watch the movies or not.

Don't watch Death and Rebirth if you've seen the series. It's a complete waste of money and just a massive plug for End of Evangelion, which I've heard is actually worth seeing. I plan on picking it up solely because Evangelion left me unsatisfied at the end.

The Death part of D&R is pretty cool, but is basically the Evangelion Clip Show with a little bit of other stuff. The music is good, though. I liked the intermission, then Rebirth is just the first fifteen minutes of End of Evangelion.

End of Evangelion is really cool, but it may give you a headache tryng to fit in everything together. The commentary is HILARIOUS, too.

Then again, I really love Evangelion. I might not be entirely unbiased on whether people should watch it or not!

If you can't get all of the last episode, I'd be willing to rip it from my DVD and send you a file. PIRACY FTW! (They're also gonna show it on Adult Swim two weeks from now, but that'd be too long of a wait)

I'm borrowing a friend's bootleg copy, which has the whole series and apparently both movies. All I'll be wasting is time.

YESSSSSSSSSS, rip it you must! I shall love you FOREVAAAAAH!

Okay, then. I'll try to be on AIM and send it to you

BTW... were you watching it subbed or dubbed?

From: [identity profile] thesaneminority.livejournal.com

Subbed. The English voices aren't horrible, but I prefer the original Japanese.

Ack, problem. Whenever I try to rip it with Japanese and subtitles, it gives me an error.

So much for doing something nice for someone, Windows won't have it! :(
