We were supposed to watch Princess Mononoke after our midterm today, but Professor Covell couldn't get the sound to work so we watched Onmyoji instead. It turns out I've seen it before with Will. It was much easier to watch it without laughing every five minutes when it was subtitled in English - at least then it was minimally cheesy. That god-awful voice-over just shot the cheese-tastic-ness to insane levels. And there was a hell of a lot of subtext, and it did not help that one of the main characters was named Seme. You try not laughing when someone is screaming "Damn you, Seme!"

It could have used more explosions. Exploding demon babies, at least.
