Went to my first baby shower today. I went representing my lovely mother and Anna's French class. I knew no one except the pregnant woman. We played stupid games (bingo, remember everything that was in the bag, anagrams from the baby's name); I won the last game and won a candy jar of gummy bears. Then I made myself sick eating half of the jar, ate cake and food and left before I fell asleep on their couch.
So, yeah. I finally got paid and used the money to buy the supplies for beaded flowers that I should have bought a week ago. But I forgot the floral tape, which I need to get before I can make any flowers, and I want to finish the damn marigold I'm making so I can send it to Nick. Maybe I'll send the rose bud instead. Or both. Hrm...
Anyhoo, I made a butterfly that was in the book instead. It's pretty; dark pink with a brown-red body. I was going to make it a hair clip, but it's too big, so I might attach it to my bookbag for school. Or something.
