I bought a fishy today. He's a very pretty betta named Renji. I want to post pictures that I took of him, and I would gladly do so if I could. For some reason, I didn't have iPhoto on my comp, and that's the only way I know of to get the photos off my camera and onto my Powerbook G4. So I downloaded iPhoto v.2.0 and tried to import them.

The program looked like it was doing something for a second, then suddenly quit. It's done this every time I've tried to import photos tonight.

I've been downloading upgrades from Apple.com, but the lowest they go to is 4.0.3, and apparently I can't just jump up to the latest download from 2.0. If I use the Software Update option, where it searches the web for official upgrades and downloads them for me, it tells me the version I'm using won't work anymore and to start using the new one - which I can't seem to find.

I have no particular love OR hatred for iPhoto - I just want to be able to import my photos onto my computer. My camera is a HP Photosmart R727, and it and other cameras have worked just fine with iPhoto before the hard drive was replaced. Does anyone have any advice?

Hooray, pictures!

So, everybody meet Renji now! See mah pretty fishy! )

And, looooooong overdue, the photos I took at the Harry Potter party. I'm still miffed I didn't take any of the Dementor or movie!Trelawney, and it's really too bad that person who got a pic of Harry smoking outside of the bookstore couldn't get the photos off her phone. I would've killed for that pic.

Here they are! )
