Anyone know how to keep from compulsively snacking? I mean, obviously, don't keep out snacky foods that are easy to eat a lot of without realizing it, but I was talking more like at parties, or even at coffeehouses, where it's really easy to just go up and spend all your money on cookies and coffee and chai tea lattes (damn, those are good!), and everything you eat is fatty or salty or sugary or some combination of the three.

I could lose a good amount of weight if I would quit eating for the sake of eating and drink more water instead of pop.

Chew minty flavored gum. Drink lots of water. And when you do snack, take smaller bites and make sure you chew and swallow food compleatly before putting more food in your mouth. I don't do these things because I would weigh less than 100 if I did and then I would be funny looking. But if I ever gain weight, I will be sure to do that.
