Tried to give blood yesterday. Failed, as I only had a blood iron level of 35%, and you need one of 38% to give blood or you could go into an anemic state and DIE. I didn't know that.
Also, I finished Across the Nightingale Floor. Very good book, although the ending was rather sad, and I didn't like some parts of it all that much. But I guess there are two other books in that series, so I'll have to read those too. Kaede was probably my favorite character, then Shizuka, then Shigeru, and then Takeo. (No, I didn't like the main character all that much. So sue me.)
I also have a horrible, horrible urge to find AtNF roleplay. Which, of course, would be chock full of Mary Sues, and I would die a horrible death because of the pain that would inflict on my already-suffering braincells.
I do reccomend this book, especially if you like ninjas (because that's what Takeo is, is a glorified ninja, damnit!) and "supernatural" shit. I think I'm going to look for the other two books; the ending was sort of open, and I want to see if certain things happen. So go read it, damnit!
