I mean, come on. If the lady really meant what she said by not needing it, then the waitress would have probably gotten the tip, pregnant or not. Give people SOME credit.

I think it's nifty when people do things like that (the tip) though I didn't read the original article so if she left the tip just because the girl needed it because she was pregnant, I think that's kinda stupid. Other non-pregnant people could need it just the same.

I can understand being pissed if she'd sought out a pregnant waitress and given her the money, or left a note saying "Here's to your baby's future!" or something. As far as we know, she did it because she felt like giving money to someone who needed it. (And we all know how badly waitstaff need it!)

The big deal with whether she's pregnant is that it supposedly sends the message that people who are broke and pregnant deserve money more than people who are just broke, or at least that's what I think some people were getting at.
