Surgery was a success! I got to the hospital around 7:30, got prepped, sat around for a couple hours, didn't go in to operate until 11 or so, woke up feeling woozy as hell (and pissed off about it), and went to my hospital room to sleep off the drugs. Before I went to sleep I had dinner, though it was kind of hard to swallow without taking a drink at the same time.

Then Heather came with Krystal to visit for a while, and that was fun. We took a couple pictures, including one of the wrappings around my boobs, and talked for a while. Then they left and I spent the night sleeping and waking up to read or watch TV for a bit. Mom got to the hospital at 7 am, and Dr. Sampson showed us how to change the bandages, which we're supposed to do every day, and then I had to walk up and down the hall four times before I could be released. I finally got to go home around 9 or 9:30.

I asked Dr. Sampson for a C cup; he said he couldn't be exact, but he'd get it close to that size. They look kind of odd, though that might be because they were squished a little from the wrappings when he undid them and because of the stitches. Mom laughed a little, but she said they didn't look nearly as bad as she expected. The scars will fade over time, which is good.

I'm reading a new book -- By the Sword, by Richard Cohen. It's pretty cool (even though I'm only on page 30), and has all this kickass information about swords and fencing. I recommend it highly to anyone interested in swords/fencing.
