I just read this lovely email not a few minutes ago:

"Please note that effective immediately Ruth Ann no longer has an email address.

She no longer lives with us and no longer has a phone.

Her mother
Alfretta"

I can't say I'm completely surprised. Ruth Ann's talked about leaving home to go find her soulmate, or something similar. I just wish she hadn't done so. At least, not without saying something. Then again, she could have gotten kicked out, in which case I suppose all I can do is wait and see if she tries to contact me. And why couldn't her mom have given us a little more info? Like, why she's gone, or if there's any way to reach her at all, or something like that. This is one of my oldest and best friends here; why can't I know more?

Apparently, Nick's lost his cellphone (I learned this through [livejournal.com profile] soccrb1083), which is why he hasn't called me and I can't get a hold of him. And I'm not sure if he's changed his email or what, but I sent him an email and I haven't gotten a reply. So... yeah. Not sure what's going on. I'd say fuck it, and see if I can visit during Christmas break, because Jan wants me to visit then, but I'm not sure if he'll still be here for me to visit, you know? Well, maybe next summer, I'll have the money to fly down and see him or something. Right now I just kind of want to talk to him.

Neil and I went to see Fantastic Four, which wasn't a bad movie, and he did behave for the most part (there was a little shitfit while we were waiting for Jan, but that didn't last more than a few seconds). And then we went to the park, where some kid threw sand at him. And then we went home, and Uncle Steve and Aunt Dee came and we went to Sticky Fingers for dinner. Uncle Steve's supposed to come over tomorrow morning and take us to see the aircraft carrier in the harbor. Woohoo! He gave me ... oh geez, I forget what it's called. A jump stick, or something? It's like the equivalent of 20 floppies. And it has a little lanyard. So I'll be a stylish geek. Hoorah.
