Got my grades back. BA in Thought and Writing, B in Japanese (guess I didn't do too badly on the final after all!), B in German, and DC in Health & Wellness. Got a 2.94 semester GPA, which raised my overall GPA to 2.78. (Wow! A whole .07 points! :D)

Work is pretty good so far. Our group is pretty much the only one actually putting forth a good effort, though - most of the other people will sit and mess around halfway through their tasks. If they run out of something, they'll just wait around for someone to show up, instead of going to go find someone to get what they need. And yesterday, a bunch of us were waiting around for our first task of the day, and a couple girls were looking over their schedules, saying "Man, I hope I don't have to work alone with all these weird people!" Because, y'know, being interested in the medieval period and ren fairs and stuff is being WEIRD. I doubt anyone's going to be in garb, and they're more likely to be historians than fair-goers, especially since a lot of the guests are supposed to be from overseas. BAH.

I had a dream last night where Luke told me Nick didn't like me at all. That wasn't fun to wake up to. It always takes me a couple minutes to remember what was a dream and what's actually real when I wake up. Oh god, I can't wait until Friday.

Actually a lot of them are very strange. When going through the rooms after they all leave to remove linens we found mattresses on the floor, beds pushed together, and in one case a mattress from the conjoining suite next to the pushed together beds! In addition there's more wine and liquor bottles than I knew what to do with!

Realistically, many of them 'relive the college days' with this event. The lectures during the conference are mostly scholars just reading their boring papers. The real fun is hanging out when its over. On Saturday night there is a dance with an open bar. That night many come back drunk. I didn't have a creepy experience, just many people staggering through the lobby with half of them singing to my Disney songs playing on my laptop. The two infamous stories are the guy who swam in the pond and the old couple that made whoopie near the gazebo. There were also rumors of role-playing-sex since some of them will bring period clothing. However, the most you will see of them is their ineptness of following a campus map.

The phrase "made whoopee" filled me with joy and laughter. Both for about 4 straight minutes.

Also, everyone knows Disney songs are badass. I wanna hear stories about people bringing their steel along with their garb. Those stories would impress the hell out of me.

I believe it. People get up to craaaazy stuff when they're away from home and in a convention-esque setting. It's just the whole "these people are into something I don't understand/care about and therefore they're creepy!" attitude that really pisses me off, you know? Besides, this conference sounds like a lot of fun!

I'd never do that. Unless, y'know, it was the truth. Which it's not.

Also, I think I'll convince my sister and a bunch of her friends to dress up in garb, and we'll all show up. It'll be an interesting time, eh?

Oh, I know you wouldn't. It's just my brain deciding I need to be even more insecure, that's all. Frankly, I prefer this to the dreams I have where somehow I've finished homework that's due the next morning, and I'll wake up feeling great until I realize that it's still not done and I have an hour to finish it and get to class.

DO EET.
