So. Sunday morning, woke up at 3 am, drove to Detroit, got on a plane, landed in La Guardia at 9. Called Dad, got on a bus, took the subway to Times Square and found our hotel. Got a call from Link, talked to him for almost an hour, made him promise to call later so we could see when he could pop by to see me. Went to Ellis Island/Statue of Liberty. Went back to TS, met Link, hung out for a while, went back to the hotel; everyone else went back to their rooms, we made out like crazy (and a little more) in the elevators and hallway. Funfuns.
Monday, walked through Central Park (refrained from whining about feet falling off, yay!) to Goethe Institute, where we watched two short films and looked a the library. Walked the old German neighborhoods, ate at a Belgian bakery, popped by the Guggenheim (only went in the gift shop); went to the MoMA, went to the hotel, went to Greenwhich Village, went back to hotel.
Tuesday, went to Metropolitan Museum of Art. Got tired. Went back to hotel, got lost on way to La Guardia; ended up taking the 7 to Queens, getting on an empty bus, getting kicked off, going back on, then getting on the damn plane. Tired but happy. Wish Link could come over here sometime.
