First, the Christmas list, in order of who gave me what, and what I gave to whom (so if you haven't gotten your present yet, don't look!):
Dad:
Little Miss Sunshine on DVD, along with the soundtrack
A pendulum toy
A PotC 12-month calendar
A cat page-a-day calendar
Final Fantasy XII (it was an early Christmas gift)
Two T-shirts and a sweatshirt
A razor
A magnetic sculpture toy
A hand blender
A smoothie recipe book
A nutcracker
A Christmas-y penguin plate
Mom:
A digital camera (and man, is it awesome!)
Two Christmas ornaments, one of which she made herself from a used light bulb
A jar of peach crisp mix, a jar of snacking cake mix, and a can of peaches for the peach crisp
A warranty on the camera
Rob:
Volume 10 of the Fruits Basket manga (he's just lucky he managed to randomly pick out something I really wanted when he was assuming that any manga would do)
Tiffany:
A T-shirt and gingerbread body lotion
Mark, his brother Leonard, and Uncle Steve:
A $50 gas card from each of them
Aunt Joann:
$20 gift card to Target
Gary:
$100 gift card to Meijer
Phyllis:
$20
Cate:
A soft, fluffy blue bathrobe, a book, and an air freshener
Graham:
A wicker "boat" filled with ceylon, jasmine, and green tea, almond cookies, and a cool teapot
And finally from my "Christmas Angel" (who is probably my Uncle Scott):
A gift bag filled with caramel Kisses, mint dark chocolate KitKats, and a couple of Little Debbies, for "studying" *snicker*
I'm pretty damn satisfied with what I got, and I really hope that everyone liked the presents I gave them as well. Mom got a Santa outfit for the penguin I made her this summer at the Build-a-Bear-type place in Jackson, Katie got a picture frame, Adrian got a hat and wristband that I knit him with a symbol that he created on them, Dad, Mark, and Rob got coupons saying I'd take them out to dinner (well, Rob got a movie instead of dinner), and Andy got a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles roleplaying book. (That was really just a stroke of luck that I saw it at Nostalgia Ink and had the money for it.)
I got my grades for this semester, and while they're not perfect, I did better in German than I thought I would. I got an A in German, a B in Japanese, a C/B in Psych, and a D/C in Religion, just as I suspected I would. I warned my parents that my Religion grade wasn't going to be good; Dad made grumbly noises, and Mom said that she was disappointed but that since I was finally declaring my major and minor I wouldn't have to worry about filler classes anymore, so that didn't matter all that much, as it didn't count toward my Gen Ed anyway.
Also, in case anyone cares, my schedule for the Spring 2007 semester is as follows: Monday and Wednesday I have Japanese 201 from 12:00-12:50 pm, and and art studio from 2:00-4:50 pm, while Tuesday and Thursday I have German Conversation from 9:30-10:45 am, Japanese from 12:00-12:50 pm, and German 201 from 4:00-5:40 pm. Does anyone from WMU know where the hell "TRIMP" is?
I've been trying to get Joe to come over while he's got the week off, but the damn boy never wants to make plans, and of course he never suggests anything himself. So I'm hoping Jimmy can come over for New Year's Eve, so I won't be completely by myself. I like it when my year ends on a tame note, so watching movies and eating popcorn will be a pretty good way to pass the time. Dad said he could spend the night. Of course, Dad also kept asking if I was sure that nothing 'inappropriate' would happen, and then got all butthurt when I snapped at him and said I was pretty damn sure nothing was going to happen. Because nothing says you trust me like insinuating that I can't keep my pants on around anyone with a penis, eh Dad?
